In celebration of my husband’s 50th birthday we decided to venture off without the kids for the sandy beaches of Puerto Vallarta. We were a bit worried when we arrived and were greeted by a torrential downpour that flooded the streets and it seemed no end was in sight. Fortunately, several hours later, the rain subsided and we were treated to an amazing sunset from our condo rental. We’ve started a tradition of creating our own Corona photo op for those special “perfect” moments that we encounter on our travels.
Unbeknown to us, October is a slow month in Puerto Vallarta, so we enjoyed empty beaches and plenty of great service wherever we went. We ran into David Hernandes on the beach and he took great care of us during our short stay by booking us zip line reservations, a Yelapa tour, and a dinner/show cruise. It was convenient to have someone plan our days for us as we were content to just hang out on the beach. I temporarily tackled my fear of heights by doing the zip line at El Eden and by the time I reached the last zip line I was able to relax and enjoy the ride. We definitely left with a new treasure trove of memories to add to our travel adventures. And, yes, I was most definitely happy my whole time there.

Steve – You’ll have a great time! I’ll send you a list of recommended restaurants that the condo owner sent to us. The taco cart came highly recommended from several sources, but they were closed until the 17th of October, so perhaps you’ll get a chance to check them out.
Interesting photo in this post. I like the use of the reflection off the table. The whole feeling of the picture is peaceful, tranquil and an intimate moment captured. Well done! – Bob
